excellent traditional stay

pleasant staff private onsen convenient station free luggage storage
I appreciated the staff holding our luggage for three days without charge while we visited naoshima and teshima. we booked a private onsen. It was a good experience. iriya station is close by, though the walk from another nearby station is about twelve minutes, depending on the train line. i found the staff very pleasant.
The room was a bit small. I didn't find it very comfortable.
Rooms
9/10
The room featured tatami mats and accommodated three people comfortably (two adults and one child). the room size was sufficient and offered an authentic japanese experience. It was very clean, reflecting a true attention to detail.

Location
9/10
The hotel is near a local park, a school and a convenience store (mini stop) that has everything you need. it is within walking distance of ueno and asakusa, and the neighborhood is peaceful. iriya station is a few minutes' walk. It is one station from ueno.
